The Parador is located in the former Convent of San Francisco, in 800 meter distance from the historical centre of Santo Domingo de la Calzada. After the whole building complex has been remodeled, the Parador now is located in the former pilgrim hostel. The building is formed by three clearly different segments: the church, the workshop-museum and the hostel. In this third segment is the Parador located after the building has been remodeled.
