Day 01 - Vigo - Baiona or Tui
The transfer from Vigo airport or Vigo train station to Baiona or Tui marks the beginning or our trip. Today we could stroll in the alley of the historical city of Tui with guide, discovering the gothic cathedral and the historical quarter. On the other bank of the river Miño we can admire the impressive views of Valença do Minho, Portugal, and its fortress. Accommodations in a charming boutique style hotel in Baiona or Tui.
Day 02 - Baiona or Tui-A Guarda- Lower Rias Baixas- Baiona or Tui
Breakfast. From Baiona or Tui we will follow the Miño River until its beautiful estuary in A Guarda. Here we will discover the Galician pre‐Roman culture, in the Santa Tecla. Previously we will visit a local winery to taste the Rías Baixas wine. We will travel by the wild Atlantic seaside until Oia, where we could admire a monastery built on the very edge of the ocean. Our next stop will be the charming village of Baiona. We should not leave this village without a nice stroll around the castle walls. Accommodations.
Day 03- Tui or Baiona - Vigo-Ourense - Allariz- Ourense
Breakfast. From Baiona or Tui we will travel to the most populated city in Galicia, Vigo, which holds one of the most important fishing ports in the world. From here we will move inland until Ourense, with an important historical quarter. Meanwhile we have time to discover a local winery in the Ribeiro, one of the oldest wine regions in Spain. In the afternoon we will have time to stroll around the picturesque village of Allariz, once capital of the Kingdom of Galicia. Finally we will move to another wine region, the Ribeira Sacra. Day 04- Ourense - Ribeira Sacra - Monforte- Sarria - Cervo/Ribadeo
Breakfast. We will sail the Sil River, enjoying fantastic views of the Ribeira Sacra vineyards, before a wine tasting in a local winery. In Monforte we will discover some of the fortress of San Vicente and the Escolapios, which reminds to the Escorial Monastery in Madrid. On our way to the Cervo/Ribadeo area, we will stop in Sarria, one of the most important locations on the Camino de Santiago, where we will be able to visit some antique shops. We will also come upon the Roman Walls of Lugo, declared World Heritage Site, before reaching Cervo. Accommodations in a small, boutique style hotel in Cervo. Today’s dinner, included, will take place at the harbor of Ribadeo, at a beautiful restaurant with incredible views to the landscape of the estuary. Shellfish and fish are the flagships of this restaurant.
Day 05- Cervo/Ribadeo - A Marina Region
After breakfast, we will be transferred to Mondoñedo, where we will visit the cathedral and have some time stroll around the stone streets. Then, we will come back to the coast to enjoy some of the most beautiful spots in the Cantabrian Sea, the village of Viveiro and the Cathedrals Beach. Previously, at lunchtime, we will move to the small hamlet of Rinlo where we will be able to appreciate one of the local specialties, seafood. Accommodations in Cervo.
Day 06- Santiago de Compostela
Breakfast. Today we reach Santiago de Compostela, travelling along the French Way. Once in Santiago, a local guide will lead us along the old streets of Santiago and its imposing cathedral. The University, the market and other palaces and charming corners of this Unesco‐World Heritage city will be included in this half‐day guided tour. Accommodations in a charming, boutique hotel.
Day 07-Santiago
After breakfast, end of our services.
In the event that 4 minimum passengers aren’t reached, Petrabax will provide an option to purchase the tour with an additional supplement based on the actual number of travelers if under 4 passengers.
