After breakfast, departure by private air conditioned sedan with English speaking driver/guide. Stop in Arraiolos to see the local ladies weaving carpets by hand. Continue to Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest towns in Europe, where we’ll stay the night. Afternoon walking tour with an English speaking local guide to explore this charming and atmospheric town with its cobblestone streets and the ruins of a Roman temple.
Day 4: Evora-Beja-Aracena-Seville
Breakfast. Continue southward, pausing in the ancient Roman town of Beja, to admire its 13th century castle and 13th century convent, now a Pousada. Cross into Spain and arrive the town of Aracena, strongly associated with “Jamon iberico de bellota”, one of the most sought after cured hams in Spain - noted for its outstanding quality in taste and texture. Stop at the Museo del Jamon for a sampling and continue to Seville, the “Pearl of Andalusia”. Your driver/guide returns to Lisbon this evening, after dropping you at your Seville Hotel.
Day 5: Seville
Breakfast. Free day in Seville today on your own. We suggest an optional morning walking tour through the typical streets of the old Santa Cruz Quarter, the Alcazar Palace and the cathedral with its Giralda Tower – or take a stroll through charming Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. Afternoon free. Accommodations. Tonight you might choose to attend an optional Flamenco Show at a local “Tablao”. Overnight in Seville.
Day 6: Seville
Breakfast at your hotel. Tour ends after breakfast (transfer to Seville airport or the railway station is NOT included).
