Day 1: Tui
Arrival in Tui on your own. (Consult with Petrabax for private car transfer prices from Vigo or Santiago airport or rail station to Tui). Your information packet containing complete route descriptions, materials and your Pilgrims Passport will be waiting for you at your hotel. The first spot of the Portuguese Way in Spain is Tui, a village notable for its collection of historical buildings, in particular the Cathedral (an obligatory visit on this Camino), the Clarisas convent and the Diocesan Museum. The historical center is an old walled section from the 13th century, which has been declared a historical‐artistic heritage site. SUPERIOR CLASS INCLUDES LODGING AT THE PARADOR DE TUI FOR 2 NIGHTS. Day 2: Walk Tui to O Porriño. Transfer to Tui (15 km / 9.3 mi)
Breakfast. You will today have the chance to choose between two different routes to reach O Porriño. Leaving the medieval town of Tui, and after walking 7 km, you can follow the original Way or turn to the left and walk over a new path that runs along the rural landscape. Both options meet each other again at the entrance of O Porriño. Meet your driver in Porriño at the designated meeting point for your return transfer to Tui for overnight accommodations. Day 3: Transfer Tui to O Porriño. Walk O Porriño to Redondela. Transfer Redondela to Reboreda (16 km / 9.9 mi)
Breakfast. Morning transfer to Porriño to resume your walk. The route crosses the Louro river, leading to the nice spot of Santa Eulalia and the Marquis of Mos palace. A gentle climb leads us at the chapel of Santiaguiño de Antas, a pleasant place to take a rest before entering in Redondela. From this point we take you to a wonderful Galician manor house to spend the night. VALUE PACKAGE INCLUDES DINNER AT YOUR HOTEL THIS EVENING.
Day 4: Transfer Reboreda to Redondela. Walk Redondela to Pontevedra (20 km 12.4 mi)
Breakfast. After a short transfer back to the Way, we could enjoy nice views of the ría (inlet) de Vigo in our way to Arcade, a seaside village well‐known for its oysters. After leaving Arcade we cross the historic bridge of Ponte Sampaio, taking us to the Romanesque church of Santa María. Not far we will enter in Pontevedra, one the most beautiful cities in Galicia. Do not miss the sanctuary of the Virxe Peregrina, the ruins of San Domingos, the Santa María A Grande church and the small squares and narrow alleys in the old city. Day 5: Walk Pontevedra to Armenteira Monastery. Transfer Armenteira to Meaño. (20 km / 12.4 mi)
Breakfast. From Pontevedra the route takes the variation to Poio monastery and reaches the coast in the charming village of Combarro. From here it starts the ascent to the Castrove mount which offers beautiful panoramic views until reaching the monastery of Armenteira. From this point we take you to a boutique hotel to spend the night. VALUE PACKAGE INCLUDES DINNER AT YOUR HOTEL THIS EVENING.
Day 6: Transfer Meaño to Armenteira. Walk Armenteira to Vilanova de Arousa. Boat trip Vilanova de Arousa to Pontecesures. Transfer Pontecesures to Padrón.(24 km / 14.9 mi)
Breakfast. Transfer to Armenteira Monastery. We leave now this point through a track parallel to the Armenteira stream. Little by little the riparian landscape is substituted for Albariño vineyards; in fact, our itinerary passes by some wineries of the Designation of Origin Rías Baixas. At the end of the day sleep in Viñanova or transfer to the hotel of the previous night. VALUE PACKAGE INCLUDES DINNER AT YOUR HOTEL THIS EVENING.
Day 7: Walk Padrón to Santiago (26 km / 16.1 mi)
Breakfast. Our last stage will lead us into a constant ascent crossing small settlements with beautiful heritage such as Iria Flavia, A Escravitude or Angueira de Suso, before arriving to the historical city of Santiago. SUPERIOR CLASS INCLUDES LODGING AT THE PARADOR DOS REIS CATOLICOS.
